GBD Doner · last updated 18 August 2026
This covers the GBD Doner app and website, run by Mobiki Ltd on behalf of GBD Doner. It says what we hold, why we hold it, and how to make us stop.
What we hold
- Your name and email address. The name so the counter can call you when your food is ready; the email so we can send you a receipt and let you back into your account.
- A phone number, if you give us one. Only asked for when it is needed — a delivery, or an order somebody may have to ring you about.
- Your orders. What you bought, where, when and what it cost. This is also the restaurant’s own sales record and its accountant’s.
- Points and vouchers, if the brand runs a rewards scheme and you joined it.
- A notification token, if you allow notifications — an identifier for the app on your device, not for you.
Where you are
When you are choosing a shop, the app asks your phone where it is so it can put the nearest one at the top of the list. That answer stays on your phone: the shops’ own coordinates are sent to it and the distances are worked out there. We do not receive your location, and we do not store it. Refusing costs you the sort order and nothing else — you can still order from any shop.
Notifications
Two separate permissions, both yours to change in the app at any time. Order updates tells you when your food is ready or if an order was cancelled, and is on by default because it is the thing you asked for by ordering. Offers is off until you turn it on. Turning one off never turns the other on.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your details, and we do not share them for anybody else’s marketing.
- We do not hold your card number. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we see that a payment succeeded and its reference, never the card.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Getting rid of it
In the app: More → Delete my account. It removes your account, saved addresses, phone number, points, vouchers and notification tokens, and it cannot be undone.
Orders you have already placed stay in the restaurant’s books, with your name, email and phone number taken off them and no link back to you. A restaurant cannot un-sell last Tuesday, and its records have to survive an app being deleted — but what is left says a wrap was sold at nine o’clock, which is a fact about the shop rather than about you.
You can also email info@mobiki.uk and ask for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to correct or delete it.
How long
Your account lasts until you close it. Order records are kept for six years, which is how long UK tax law requires a business to keep its books. Notification tokens are dropped as soon as a device stops answering.
Who to complain to
Us first — info@mobiki.uk. If that does not settle it, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) regulates this in the UK and you can complain to them directly.
